Dr. Yolanda Lopez
Hi! My name is Yolanda. From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. I have always dreamed of helping animals and their humans.
I have been practicing veterinary medicine in Canada since 2011. However, I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela, and now call Calgary home.
I share my life with my partner, Rob, our two dogs, and two cats. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, swimming, dancing, and watching TV.
I would love to be your family veterinarian. Just ask!
Emilio Martin
In the words of Dr. Lopez, Emilio started at Calgary Family Vet as a client. He has a gorgeous French bulldog named Matteo, and in March 2022, he became our Client Care Coordinator.
He handles most client communication, scheduling, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
He has a background in healthcare and is smart, caring, compassionate, and a real problem solver. We’re thrilled to have him on our team.
His contribution to our very small operation has been invaluable. He allows me to focus on my patients’ medical needs, and our clients love him!

Tonielle Sonstelie
Tonielle is the kind voice you will hear when calling Calgary Family Vet.
She was raised in Saskatchewan and grew up on a farm, loving and respecting both the wild and tame! Danielle has been in the veterinary industry for the last three years, and today, she plays a huge role behind the scenes at Calgary Family Vet.
Tonielle is a very eclectic human who enjoys various activities. In her own words, “It’s happiness that I love most of all.”
She has two feisty kittens that keep her busy, Ezekiel Poe and Galligher Knox.
